YWC Membership
Who is the YWC?
The Younger Woman's Club is a fun-loving and hard-working group of ladies comprised of single women, working mothers and stay-at-home mothers, ages 21 – 45. Each member comes from a different background and has different reasons for joining the Younger Woman’s Club. Members share a commitment to volunteerism and building a better community.
Am I eligible to join the YWC?
Candidates for membership must be proposed by a current YWC member in good standing. Candidates must:
- Have lived in the Louisville vicinity for at least six (6) months prior to applying for membership.
- Have not declined membership in the past.

When should I join the YWC?
We accept membership applications in the months of March through July. During those months, we have informal gatherings so that you can get acquainted with the YWC and we can get acquainted with you!
What are the requirements during the first year of membership?
The first year of membership is known as the Member-Elect year. Member-elects are required to fulfill the following requirements within their first year of membership in order to be inducted into the Younger Woman's Club:
- Attend Orientation Meetings
- Attend six (6) club functions
- Complete 20 hours of volunteer service at approved agencies.
- Accompany Charities Group member on an interview of one agency that is requesting YWC funding.
- Pay Club dues are $225 and due by August 1.
